CITY TRAVEL IN LEEDS
*
*
Getting around Leeds couldn’t be easier with the range of accessible transport available.

The main bus station is located at New York Street [map], and is centrally located for all of Leeds’ best tourist attractions. The station has essential facilities such as cash points, toilets and baby changing facilities.

Most buses in the city centre are now accessible for everybody and have low-level entrances and designated wheelchair and pram areas. Leeds is also ontrack for a new Supertram that could rival that of Sheffield and make transport even easier and speedier in the city centre.

Leeds has a one-way system in the city centre and is not the ideal place to bring your car but there’s still plenty of car parks and even some free parking around.

If you want to get a taxi in Leeds there are several places from which to hail one. You can get a Hackney cab on Assembly Street [map], or the bus stops next to the Corn Exchange. Cabs regularly appear at New Briggate, Vicar Lane [map] and Merrion Way.
