GUESTHOUSES IN LEEDS |
|
|
If you’re
hankering after a touch of traditional hospitality a stay
in a guesthouse could be the perfect solution.
Guesthouses are a home from home and great if you’re
on a business trip or travelling alone.
You can expect a traditional setting, a comfortable bed
and no frills service but the days of 1970s-inspired décor
are long gone and Leeds offers some lavish alternatives
as well as more traditional quality.
Top of the list of reasons to stay in a guesthouse –
aside from the fantastic breakfast on offer – is
probably the individual attention you’ll receive
and the individual and unique surroundings you’ll
settle into.
For a touch of Victorian splendour try The Old Vicarage
Hotel [map]
in Morley, Leeds. The Old Vicarage is a friendly, family
run hotel featuring beautiful antiques and Victoriana
in an authentic setting.
Fairbairn House [map]
is another Victorian house but this one is owned by The
University of Leeds. If you’re looking for single
room bed and breakfast in quiet accommodation and don’t
have a massive budget, this could be the place to you.
It’s also located close to Leeds University in Clarendon
Road and is a great base for checking out nearby student
life.
If you’re looking for quality try The Fleece
Inn [map],
at Addingham which is North West of Ilkley. Offering a
unique taste of Scotland in the heart of Yorkshire The
Fleece Inn offers a rich and varied menu as well as comfortable
accommodation for those wanting to stay over. The pub
and restaurant is lively but friendly.
